Your reflection on the “invisible bodyguard” resonated as I watched a sparrow from my window.

A sparrow lifts on morning air, its wings affirm the sky is near,

The call of freedom, light, and flight, a song that rises, pure and clear.

Still gravity denies its claim,

The earth recalls it back again,

The weight of matter, root, and stone,

The tether binding wing to bone.

Between the pull and upward reach, a rhythm forms, a balanced speech,

The dance of soaring, falling too, a harmony both of old and new.

So soul, like sparrow, learns to be, reconciled now in three...

The sparrow song still free and clear…

I do not veil the morning sky, nor guard the wind that lifts me high.

Your chains are not of earth or air, but of a self that is not there.

Awake! Awake!

The sky is whole; the dance begins when you are soul.

No secret keeps you from the blue; the hidden gate is simply you.

Thank you Cynthia for this wisdom born from your own experience. I do believe it takes one person who loves us unconditionally, sees the Good in us that we don't see in ourselves, is patient as we "bear" the beams of their love and confidence and trust until it is born in us. That is a Great Love. I experienced that Love through my husband of 60 years. His form is gone but the Love he gave me streams through me not as an artificial intelligence but as the yet unborn Intelligence in which I live and move and have my being. I am streaming his Love in real time as I remember all the sayings including "I will never leave you. I will return and bring you to myself so that where I am you also may be." He is the invisible body guard of my True Self and the midwife of the Eternal being born in me.
